The Heart and Soul of The Nation

Rattanakosin City was founded and ruled by the kings of Chakri Dynasty.  Thailand’s independence and progress testify to the hard works of the nine kings of the dynasty, whose efforts and geniuses have guided the country out of several crises and contributed to the good livelihood and well-being for the people.  The royal accomplishments and contributions of each reign differ in various aspects.

• King Rama IV - V: The Period of Braving the Western Storms and Steering the Country toward Civilization: Explore the great achievements of the Thai kings who succeeded in maintaining Thailand’s sovereignty and who ushered in many ground-breaking changes and development programs that brought Siam on a par with other civilized nations.

• King Rama VI – VII: Paving the Way for Democracy and Sustainable Development:  During this period of the two reigns, the focus was on educational development as a firm foundation for national progress in all aspects and a proper preparation for the transition to democracy.

• King Rama VIII - IX: The Constitutional Monarchy Period: Visitors will be mesmerized by the movies about the royal activities and efforts of King Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII) and King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), who both have contributed to the Thai people’s livelihood and well-being, as well as to the prosperity and progress in all aspects and in all regions of Thailand.  Visitors will feel basked in Their Majesties’ grace and kindness for everyone everywhere.
